Technology is a constantly advancing field that gives rise to new and creative techniques used in different scientific fields. Mankind has always tried to develop his knowledge and resolve the problems of the past by creating a new chance for further evolution and growth. With this background in mind, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences established a Nanotechnology Research Center in 2012 in order to work actively in the field of nanotechnology.

This center focuses on infections, pharmacology, and gene delivery in treating cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and other difficult diseases. In this regard, the center has succeeded in taking a major step in promoting technical knowledge and developing modern medical techniques through conducting practical and fundamental studies in the corresponding fields.

Although the center has only been active for a short time, it has facilitated great achievements in the medical domain, such as establishing the first anti-cancer nano-drug, targeted pharmacology for treating colon cancer, and many other health services.
